Since 1999, in order

The first website we sold cost $100. The rest of the history, in dated order.

An old beige CRT monitor and a modern laptop side by side on a wooden desk in morning light.

The first website we sold cost $100. We keep the buyer anonymous. We kept the number.

The work started in 1999, before the studio had a name. The rest goes in order.

A hand on a laptop trackpad at a minimal off-white design desk, with one fuchsia cable running behind it.
The same work, still going.
  1. 1999: the work starts
  2. June 2000: licensed as Turbo Gold
  3. 2006: renamed Artasce
  4. Now: still shipping

Two names, one licence

Turbo Gold came first, in June 2000. In 2006 the studio became Artasce. The word is art plus ascend, with the ending dropped. The name has not changed since.

One licence, two names, and a long habit of shipping.

This site is the studio’s own page, with the history, the philosophy and the portfolio. There are no prices on it and no forms.

What the dates turned into

The portfolio runs from a lawn care app to a video game site.

A lawn care app

Has to work for someone standing in a driveway.

A video game site

Has to look right to the people who play.

The same studio made both. Alongside the client work, we run Mademoiselle, Modolla and Voya side by side. Some of what we ship is ours, so we live with it.

If you have seen one of our demos, you have seen what we make.

The next question is usually shorter.

Are there real people behind it, and how long have they been at it?

The dates answer that. 1999, 2000, 2006. The same work under two names, still going.

Will this site ask me for a price or a form?

No. It is the studio’s own page, with the history, the philosophy and the portfolio. There are no prices on it and no forms.

Here is the work. Most of it is still live.
